Well I really want that Hambledon, so the Exhibition Barbaresco will have to go. Fortunately, we have this alternative that I’ve enjoyed in previous vintages:

That Filipa Pato fizz is firmly on my radar! Had a really excellent red by her a while ago, which I’m intending to go back to at some point:

Thanks for reminding me!

Go on then, I’ll have a crack at this.

Local fizz for local people:

Epic French white:

For grandmas everywhere:

This looks the part for port:

Need a sweet riesling:

You didn’t say anything about bottle size, so here’s the claret substitute:

Because I can:

Cosy winter red:

Swish pinot:

Alternative Kiwi:

The ooh-that’s-different bottle:

Grüner is a sure thing

Its Christmas Eve, a Monday evening and I won’t be home til after 7, so will need to be prepared with easy stuff to do, so this with cheese straws whilst getting the fire going

Then smoked salmon, a mustard and dill sauce, Melba toast

A flash in the pan steak, walnut salad

Mince pies and brandy butter, feet up and think about the rest of the food for tomorrow and Wednesday

That was hard work…

Im going to be mean here and politely ask if the Hambledon includes Chardonnay and Pinot Noir…

#28

I’m going to appeal by saying that a bottle of Chardonnay and a mixed grape variety including Chardonnay is not repetition.
E.g. Mean and demeanour- @Bargainbob and I have demeanour…:innocent:
