Opened this last night as it sounded tempting from the description…
Unusual in that it has an amazing pear and pear drops nose, almost Gewurz like, but then there’s plenty of acidity when tasted and a really dry finish - almost tannin-mouth drying, like biting into an unripe pear. Today it has less of the mouth-puckering effect and is a lovely, aromatic wine (big nose, even straight out of the fridge) with quite a long finish. Would be a good wine for SB enthusiasts, I think - Recommended.

It is exactly as described and still quite fresh, but with perfectly integrated tannins after 9 years - very drinkable, but perhaps there are equally good wines at a better price?
