Just wondering whether to take advantage of this price reduction to replace my last 3 bottles which I served at our New Year’s Eve dinner. Mine were bought en primeur at a more modest (in today’s terms) cost.
Friend is having a 40th birthday in a house in Norfolk the weekend after next, and discovering the perfect wine match for the pannacotta pudding course is, apparently, Moscato d’Asti gave me the perfect excuse to buy some as well as topping up my Alsace and dessert wine stock…

I think I’ve had every one of those wines in the last 3 or 4 years. Nice selection!
Half price beer !
…in a style that suits my simple tastes.
Two of these from the clearance sale ( not that it deserves to be in it )…
One of these, not cheap but worth it based on previous vintages…
And singles of these from the clearance sale too…
Marcillac Vieilles Vignes 2016, Domaine du Cros ( £9.95 )
The Society’s Exhibition Limari Chardonnay 2018 ( £8.95 )
Goldenes Loch Riesling 2014, Schloss Neuweirer ( £17.50 )
For pick up on Saturday from the showroom. I’ll be taking blinkers to avoid any further temptation.
Yes, I loved their 2018 Kabinett from this vineyard.
Good luck with those blinkers…
LOL ! They should be provided free of charge for those of us lucky enough to be able to collect.
Just noticed that some 2018 Rhone is now available to order so might have to put in a small supplementary order just to get an idea of the scale of the wines. I need to try the Ferraton Syrah before the EP offer closes that’s for sure.
Indeed, a new Rhone 2018 showcase here…
Just ordered some of these:
Alongside an order of The Liberator Blood Brothers Red Labal mentioned by @szaki1974 in another thread
That Vacqueyras looks like very good value. Can’t reasonably buy more wine at the moment sadly.
That Genets is a cracker. I’ve been keeping an eye out for any later vintages, I first bought this '14 from TWS in '16, but have never yet seen a later vintage.
Glad to hear it’s good! Seemed like good value and glad to have picked up a few based on your recommendation! Looking forward to trying it
Yes I’d like to get some more but there’s not much left and though I’m currently in the right country for wine, it’s not the right one for that particular wine!
Have just purchased these, just need to buy some 16’s now.

Very lucky to have acquired a large Liebherr Vinotek from a dealer in Germany so the basket is a large reserves withdrawal to fill it up. I am already preparing my apologies for our WS delivery guy.
Fantastic selection of wines there. What an enjoyable past-time, filling an entire cave from scratch. Not sure your delivery driver will be quite so appreciative though!
The money you’re going to save on storage fees, reckon you could probably get another 12 bottles delivered (once your driver has had a breather).
I am very very excited about packing the wine in…it is really quite sad how excited I am.
Wow, the driver will probably be happy. By the time your cases are loaded on the van they’ll only be room for a couple more drops !
I think you and I may have had the same VCP at one time. I’d be interested to hear about the two Riojas at the bottom, should you open one anytime soon, as mine are still in reserves.
Thanks, £10.50 and a cherry pips note. I’m in !
Only 11 bottles left, tick, tick, tick…
