Thanks @VinoVeritas, makes sense now.
What is in your basket [Nov - Dec 2019]
Only additional criteria I know of is that your 12 bottles for removal cannot be made up from any more than 4 different wines (you couldn’t withdraw 2 bottles of 6 different wines for example)
Whilst collecting an order from the showroom last Friday, these made their way into a 6 bottle carry case…
Does anyone have any experience of this?
I’ll admit that my face scrunches up in disapproval whenever I see a claret without a drypoint illustration of a stately home on the front label, but I guess I ought to learn to look past this.
Well… not a direct experience, no - but I’m planning to stick a few of these in my Aldi basket very soon:
https://www.aldi.co.uk/moulins-de-citran-haut-medoc/p/016074281590300
Now, is this the same wine (though the Aldi is a 2009)? If so, it got very good reviews in Decanter…
Sorry… this isn’t exactly a clear answer…!
I believe Moulin de Citran is the second wine of Chateau Citran (the wine sold by the Wine Society).
I have not had either, but have heard generally good things about Chateau Citran…
Worth a go for the price I reckon!
I like their pop-up:
100% of people would recommend this product.
What, like, everyone in the world??
Ha ha! whenever you look on these websites, it usually ends up being '100% of 1 person recommends this wine"…
My vote is yet to be counted!!
Latest order just submitted… sending to family for Christmas as a top-up for wines I shall be bringing with me

I also would be interested in anyone’s views of this Ch Citran. I looked at it a few times but have not yet leapt.
Looks like it is part of a new offer…
I have done an emergency reserves withdrawal, as I was very low on drinking (as opposed to keeping) Burgundy and my goose is arriving on Thursday…
I think I bought that case when it was released…and have drunk it all, but remember all three of those wines being excellent! It was the Mortet Gevrey Chambertin from that case that persuaded me to pick up some of the 2010 that was released as part of another offer over the past couple of months.
That looks like the basis for a great Community party. If so, you’ll find me in the kitchen with the Cote-Rotie !
Awesome. I just got a self-mixed case of Burgundy from 2008-11 delivered from reserves to fuel me over Christmas, it’s great isn’t it.

Have gone large on Champagne (the jero is for a NY dinner party) and bought some everyday reds, as we’ve gone through all but one of the six I bought following the ‘lighter reds’ thread I started recently.
Christmas Wines!
I have some tastings coming up over the next couple of weeks, but I thought I’d want to get some real stunners in via TWS. Has anyone tried any of these?

I believe I must have taken a blow to the head. In 10 years of membership I’ve never once thought of trying the Barberani Orvieto Amabile. The reviews! And yet here we are.
Just noticed that apart from the Moscato d’Asti, these are all new to me. I’d be grateful for any reports on them.
